We are excited to announce that we are moving to Johannesburg, South Africa in July of 2021 in order to become full-time missionaries with an organization called Impact Africa! Our sending agency is a wonderful group called Launch International.
Kindle has been involved in children’s and youth ministry for the last six years. Ryan spent a year in South Africa in 2016 and is currently working as a plumber. We have both had the call to go to the missions field since we were young, and have been on many short-term trips around the world, but we have always looked forward to the day that we would transition into full-time missions together.
Last year, a missions organization, Impact Africa, invited us to come be a part of the work they are doing in Johannesburg, South Africa. We will be ministering to people living in informal settlements in and around the city. Many thousands have traveled from all over the continent in search of work and stability for their families. These people live in unsanitary and unsafe environments. Most have no access to education, and there is an epidemic of baby abandonment, religious cults, and economic hopelessness. We see a need in this area, and we are excited to fill Impact Africa’s need for more hands to bring the gospel here.
We’re super excited to join Impact Africa because we see them putting our beliefs into action!
- They’ve already rescued over 94 babies abandoned by their families.
- Currently, their four Preschools are educating and sharing God’s love with over 400 kids daily and serving over 4000 meals a week.
- Each week they minister to 2000+ High School students in the public-school system.
- Their Global Internship program prepares young people for the mission field by providing training, education, and experience.
We will be supporting them in all these areas, as well as doing house-to-house evangelism in the informal settlements. Our main duty will be as the directors of their Global Internship, and we are excited to give young people the tools to go to the nations and bring the Gospel!
We are eager to reach our goal, our destination, and the lost. We truly believe that Jesus is the only hope for the South African people. We need money for startup costs and monthly financial partners in order to make our mission possible. Would you consider launching us into the field? Giving instructions and contact information are on the back of the card we mailed along with this letter.
Sincerely,
Ryan and Kindle Bridgford
